Haiti Earthquake Relief: How You Can Help
A massive, 7.0 magnitude earthquake struck Haiti near the capital of Port-au-Prince on Tuesday, January 12th. The damage to buildings is extensive and the number of injured or dead is estimated to be 150,000.
Lure Labradors thoughts and prayers go out to everyone affected by the earthquke. Lure Labradors has a friend (Jimmy) living in Haiti who has been affected by the quake. Jimmy has asked that we share his email with everyone and asks for your support and prayers for his country during this difficult time.
Our eleven story building fortunately did not collapse, however we lost the Operations Manager, a driver and the building needs some repair.
On the family side, we lost two nieces, houses and a couple of closed friends; everyone is OK beside that.
For the whole country, you can see the news on CNN or BBC [80,000 dead buried already, estimation goes up to 200,000, some cities are destroyed at 90%, a lot of schools and offices are out of service.
If you can help in the effort, give your contribution which can be money, time, or anything else to the American Red Cross.
